I have been offering a color caricature to couples who hire me to draw for their wedding reception. I neglected to take a picture of the first one, but this is the second.

Robin the Clown, one of my entertainment agents asked me to draw their puppet Jay R for a logo they are working on for a website. I did both a B/W and color version. Here are the end results. They are designing lettering to go with it.

Red Cross Pasadena asked me to draw a group caricature to hang up on the wall. This, along with a short blurb about me went into their regional monthly newsletter.

Dad had a stroke about 17 years ago and I don't know how much longer he will be around. I've started sending him cards depicting memories I have of him. I have sent two before this but neglected to post save and post them.

The first was a cartoon if a time we were riding double on his little red Honda motorcycle in the mountains and we ran into a barbed wire fence.

Dad was a whistler. He whistled everywhere he went. Not everyone appreciated his talent. The second card depicts a time when Dad was grocery shopping at the home town Food Center and of course whistling quite loudly. Suddenly a pack of toilet paper came sailing from over the top of the next aisle smacking either Dad or his shopping cart with an adage, "Stop that whistling!!" He heeded the directive until a couple of weeks later when the owner of the store asked why he hadn't been whistling as of late. After Dad told the story, Bob the owner told him not to worry what anyone else thought. "Keep whistling," he said.

Only his stroke stopped him for good. :(

The Oscars recently took place so I thought I would draw a couple of stars. I've been drawing in pen lately, so this time I decided to add color using watercolor rather than with prisma colors and I think they look better this way. Jeff Bridges came pretty easily for me. Despite Thinking Meryl would be simple because of her distinctive nose, I really struggled to get the right look I wanted. I think I captured her pretty well after MANY tries.

I have been hired as a caricaturist for a twins first birthday party. The mother also wanted to send out personalized invitations and wondered if I would draw the twins in a jungle scene. I agreed, knowing I would make pennies for my time/work, and I got a little snarky in the process, but in the end she seemed very pleased, and though I wasn't feeling it, I think I pulled off "cute"

pretty well.

I've been lazy about drawing lately, but finally wanted to illustrate the NBC controversy about getting rid of Conan O'Brien to reinstate Jay Leno as the Tonight show host. Commitments and contracts don't seem to hold any water when ratings fail to meet expectations. We're all pawns to "the man".
